Non-Dairy Domino's Pizza!!!!
My First Domino's Pizza!
AllergicBoy, dairy-free domino's pizza, dairy-free pizza delivery, dairy allergy pizza
Domino's : my go-to for non-dairy pizza! :) #DairyAllergy
(I do not recommend this for anyone else with a severe dairy allergy. This is something my medical mom and my physician and I did. Please consult your own doctor before playing with your food allergies.)

Hi all you dairy-allergy people and family and friends!

I got to have my first pizza at Domino's! It was a thin crust with their basic pizza sauce (the only non-dairy one). On the pizza I got all the vegetables and meats (besides salami - which has butter on it)!

It tasted soooo good! I am going to get that at Domino's from now on on my family's pizza night! :)

I did not have any bumpy reactions, no sneezing, no puffy eyes and it was scrumptious! Thanks for reading! Have a terrific weekend!!! - AllergicBoy.com (a Lego fan... clearly)

Animal Cell Model Project : Cake and Candy (Grade 5)

This week I made an animal cell for school! The names of the parts of the cell are: cytoplasm, nucleus, nucleolus, chromatin, vacuole, golgi apparatus, smooth er, rough er (endoplasmic reticulum), cell membrane, mitochondria, ribosomes, centrioles, and lysosomes.

Animal Cell Made Out Of Cake and Candy (non-dairy)

All of the parts of the cell were made out of non-dairy sweets and include Twizzlers, Gummi Worms, Jelly Filled Hello Kitty Marshmallows, Rips, Angel Food Cake from Ralph's, blue and red Betty Crocker frosting, Duncan Hines whipped frosting in Fluffy White, Nerds, and the awesome powers of ME!! It took us a few days to get our game plan together on how we were going to make it. Once we did, it came together quickly. It was a fun way to learn the parts of the animal cell! :)

My mom helped me download Avery Template 8160 and print up the words I typed in the template cells. We taped them onto mini bamboo forks.

And that is how you make an animal cell in 5th grade! :)

Fun with animal cell science! Twizzler=Cell Membrane :)

Lego City Airport 3182 : Kid Review

One of the gifts I received for Christmas was a Lego city Airport. It has 703 pieces! It took me three hours to make. It has three turbines. The airplane is 48 cm long. It is harder than the Lego fireboat and helicopter, but easier than the Taj Mahal (which is 6000 pieces).  I love it! The wheels move and turn, the plane inside has seats and cargo under it, I had fun putting it together, and it's just like a REAL airport!
I HIGHLY recommend this for boys who like Lego's age 9-11.

Non-Dairy Peppermint Bark Recipe for kids of all ages!

1. Melt "Tropical Source" chocolate chips in a bowl for 90 seconds in microwave.

2. STIR until they melt.

3. Add marshmallows (so it looks like marble), candied fruit, orange zest, a teaspoon of raspberry jam, nuts (salted or unsalted)or whatever you like or nothing.

4. Pour onto and spread on wax parchment paper.

5. Sprinkle with crushed candy canes (pounded in ziploc) or whatever you like to eat with chocolate.

6. Let dry and DONE! Voila!
This recipe is fun to do, especially in December or whenever I want it to feel like a holiday, and I let my baby sister help so you know it's easy! :-)

I love science camp and I collect rocks.

I really liked science camp over the summer. I liked that we built a car, a glider, a wind up airplane and had fun. I liked my teacher. She smiled and high-fived me with her backhand when she touched dairy.

The wind up airplane was my favorite. We wound up the propeller and put it on the ground and it just flew! We added an alien with a parachute on it. When the airplane went upside down the alien parachuted out! Someone's parachute on their guy ripped and it fell because there was not that much air trapped under the chute. It was cool!

I collect rocks and like these books. I like the crystal rocks we find and the layers on some. They are very interesting and come in many colors. I hide them in a tree near our house.

I just did a "class IV dairy allergy challenge"!

My blood test results came back! Milk allergy reaction used to be 40 and now it's a 17 IgE which is a Class 4.Under 35 IgE means I can do the baked milk study at Baltimore Children's Hospital. The Dr. in Allergic Living magazine said we could just try it so we did.
http://allergicliving.com/features.asp?copy_id=395

We bought dairy and brought it into our dairy-free home!!!
We just baked 1gm of nonfat Carnation Nestle milk powder into one cupcake at 350 for 30 minutes and I just ATE HALF!
I tried dairy! My grandmother would have loved this!

I did this about an hour ago and started sneezing and took 1 Benedryl and it's all getting better. 11 sneezes, puffy eyes, and runny nose.

So I don't know what this means. We're gonna' have to research to see if we call it a day on this whole thing or we do something with my cheddar levels at 8. Back to the drawing board.

-----------------------------------------------
I am REALLY allergic to dairy which usually isn't too big a deal as long as I am in charge of managing it. I eat before parties, leave the room when I see dairy, leave a party when the cake is cut, don't go in my lunchroom in school, and have only reacted from a handshake once. We have as many parties as we can at our house with huge, amazing non-dairy cakes.  I am grateful for my family and friends who have my back and wash their hands and mouth before playing with me.

World travel is easy if you're not a picky eater. I ate pasta in Paris (from a bakery and from the Auto Center and a 100 yr old toy museum and at a restaurant on peacock island) and EVERYTHING in Japan because it has a lot of non-dairy options. We are planning trips to Montreal, Italy and India and going to stay in a place that has it's own kitchen so we can cook at home and eat out Chinese food.  My family is vegetarian but I was raised to eat everything when everybody found out I was allergic to dairy so I would have more ways to get protein.
----------------------------------------------

I hope sharing my experiences helps other people with food allergies or if you have family or friends that are allergic to milk I hope this helps. I would love to read your comments. Thanks!

Karate

Today was the first time I went to Karate. It was kind of fun. The time went by so fast that the class felt short. There wa a lot of yelling... like "Aya!", "Deck!", "I don't have time!", & "Ha!".

It's not as fun as soccer, or basketball, or baseball , or wrestling, or any sport you can think of. I had a good time and I think I will go back.

Tween Boy says "Yes" to My Sims Agent at Nintendo DS

I really like my DS, my iTouch, and Miniclip.com - even if mom says she thinks that site is "rotting your brain" and wants to measure the angles of the projectiles on the game and make it a Physics lesson.

My mom says if I keep blogging journal entries I get to keep any money I make and buy the gokart kit I want.

I can't wait until swim practice! I'm fast!

The Grand Adventures of a Tween: Chapter 1

Today mom took my Bakugon's away for 2 weeks because I snuck 3 cookies. She didn't care that I did it, she cared that I stuck to my "I don't know who did it" story... she says.
I am a totally cool, science, tennis/basball playing, straight-A kind of kid!
Yesterday we went to the store at night and mom almost made me sit in the cart with my baby sister. How embarrassing! My mom Facebook's a lot.
I really like Mindstorm Lego's, Nintendo XL, and won the Indiana Jones Nintendo game part I and II!
